Historic Quilts Across Todd County
The sixth annual Todd County History Day will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at the Browerville Community Center beginning at 10:30 a.m. The Day will include historic quilts from the six historical societies/museums on display with a story about each quilt. Following lunch at 11:30 a.m. a program will be presented at which each of the historical societies will give a brief history of their quilt. On display will also be the Riverside Ladies Aid 1938 quilt. A book will be available telling the history of the women that embroidered blocks for the Riverside Ladies Aid 1938 quilt and a brief story and picture of the other quilts being displayed by the county historical societies. The public is invited to learn about this aspect of Todd County history.
